Joseph & Malcolm's Wedding

This wedding was quite special for me due to the fact that I have known Joseph for some time now.I remember the first time he came to meet me at the MFCC wedding fair and the first thing he told me was “Sean I am getting married and want you to be my wedding photographer”. He did not even ask the price or if I was available for his special day.

Joseph and Malcolm are a great couple with wonderful characters. As this was not the first time shooting a same sex wedding, and have several friends which are gay, I felt very at ease documenting their wedding.

Joseph and Malcolm decided to get ready in Corinthia Palace hotel in Attard, where they had awonderful self-designed matching suit (see photos below). I started taking photos of them getting ready individually and also with their bridesmaid, maid of honour and flower girl. I shot plenty of detail shots as Joseph and Malcom are very attentive to detail and everything was well planned. As soon as they got ready, we shot some photos in the gardens of Corinthia Palace before heading to the venue for their civil union ceremony.

Both the ceremony and the wedding celebrations where held at Chateau Buskett. The venue waswonderfully decorated by Diva Floral design. They chose to use red and white roses symbolising passion and love. The couple opted not to have a lot of photos at the venue. We decided to shoot candid (photo journalistically) so that they would have ample time to enjoy the guests and have plenty of time to dance (which they did). Mobile beats where in charge of the music and they made a wonderful job to get people on their feet and dance the night away. The choice of music was great. It was evident that both the couple and the guests enjoyed it very much.

After all the dancing, it was time for the cutting of the cake. The cake topper was so original and cute. It was personalised and also had their two dogs (which they adore) included.

As it is said, all things come to an end but Joseph and Malcom had one last surprise and finished the wedding with some fireworks. This was surely a day to remember both for the couple, for me and also for all those present to celebrate this couple's love for each other.
